MACHINERY

All Kara Group machinery is at the forefront both in terms of safety and adaptation to standards. Thanks to this innovative machinery, production processes have very low polluting loads, as well as guaranteeing a product that is precise in each and every detail. The mechanical pre-treatment, the physical-chemical and biological treatment make it possible to remove most of the organic and inorganic components during the purification and disposal processes, thus reducing the environmental impact.

WASTE

In addition to the normal treatment of tannery wastewater that is absorbed and managed by the purifiers in the area, Kara Group pays particular attention to the treatment process of tannery waste (water, sludge, special waste): as a matter of company policy, Kara Group has opted for the storage of waste materials and consequent collection and disposal in first category certified authorized plants.

ENVIRONMENT AND CONTROLS


Kara Group regularly and frequently carries out checks on emissions into the atmosphere deriving both from the manufacturing processes and from the purifiers themselves. Constant monitoring of emissions and the use of prevention technologies make it possible to reduce emissions and environmental impact.

CHEMICAL PRODUCTS

All chemical products used by Kara Group are water-based, and this is a practice that Kara Group has been adopting for some time now due to company philosophy. Each product used is covered by international certifications. Kara Group only uses recognized and certified suppliers: exclusively from multinational producers of raw materials which are able to guarantee the traceability of supplies.

PRODUCT QUALITY AND SUSTAINABILITY


Most of Kara Group hides use METAL FREE tanning whose concentration of the individual tanning metals linked to it (chrome, aluminium, zirconium, titanium and iron) must be less than 0.1% and i.e. less than 1000 mg/ Kg or ppm (UNI EN 15987:2012 2012).

Metal-free tanning allows the creation of products with a very low environmental impact and therefore highly ecological and with high biodegradability characteristics.
